Structure in the Shadows (Kejetia Market, Kumasi, Ghana)
The Architecture of labour series
Acrylic on Canvas
50 X 50 Inches
Executed in 2026
Structure in the Shadows places cobblers and artisans within the monumental architecture of Kumasi’s Kejetia Market. Repeated figures, tools and gestures establish a visual rhythm reflecting the repetitive precision of skilled manual work. The workers, rather than the architecture, give the space its purpose and energy.
